DooWopDave's Single of the Day

Hello Oldies Lovers,

I am introducing a new feature of my new website called "DooWopDave's Single of the Day".

Each day I will be sending out a blog featuring a selected single from my 45 collection. I will feature both sides of the single, label scans, artist/group pics and bio (when available) and special comments about how I discovered the song and found the record. I will also add mp3 files of the songs to my store and you may purchase them for $1 if you would like. Many of the singles featured are unavailable through outlets like Amazon or I-Tunes and many are, to the best of my knowledge, unavailable on CD compilations. The songs have been digitally cleaned up to remove needle drops, pops, clicks and other surface noise inherent to vinyl records. Otherwise, I have not enhanced the sound in any way.

I will no longer be using You Tube as the platform for sharing my singles videos so the only way you will have access to my 45 collection is through my website. I would encourage you to become a member of my website "DooWopDave's World". It's free and easy! Just click the "Log In" button on my home page and create an account. As a member you will have access to a Members Only group which will allow you to interact and share files with other members and will have access to Member Only content that I will post. The Desires - The Girl For Me b/w Phyllis Beloved was released on Dasa G 102 in 1962.

I discovered the song "Phyllis Beloved" on this album I bought back in the 80's:

One of my favorite songs on the album, I have searched for years for the single and finally found one from a record dealer in the UK a few weeks ago, so this is a new addition to my collection. Although I posted the song from my LP on my You Tube channel I never heard the A-side until I got the 45 last week.
